C6 Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils

 Mobility to Estonia: 

1.        Workshop in Tallinn Energy Discovery Centre: In this science centre based in the former Tallinn power plant that seeks to motivate children to study science special workshop for our participants was held. Practical experiments on electricity related topics carried out.

2.       Visit of Estonian Maritime Museum: Estonian sea related history was studied. Guided tour for participants included discussion about role of maritime activities and science in human history.

3.       Workshop in Tallinn Marzipan Museum: Practical cooking activities explained how middle-age citizens prepared food for living.

4.       Welcome event in Torma school: Presentations of all countries were carried out. Cultural program of Torma school students performed.

5.       Teachers meeting on CLIL experiences: Situation and prospects of CLIL related further activities in participating schools were discussed.

6.       Ice breaking activities for students in school: Common activities and games carried out to better know each other.

7.       Practical cooking lessons in school cooking class: Participants studied/trained energy saving and waste management issues on practical food preparing process of households.

8.       Field trip to local enterprises around Torma: Three local enterprises were visited. Energy using/saving mechanisms and problems in industry were studied.

9.       Study visit to local enterprise for nature education: Participants took part in meeting with representatives of ESNP, representatives of Estonian Club of Rome and representatives of local administration. Nature education and conservation issues discussed.

10.   Visit of Elistvere Nature park: Guided tour for study of Estonian nature were held.

11.   Visit of Estonian Ice Age Centre: Guided tour for study of Estonian climate related history.

12.   Visit of Science Centre AHAA:  This is currently the largest science center in the Baltic states. Guided tour to study science and technology using interactive exhibits was carried out.

13.   Visit of Palamuse Kindergarten: Study of energy saving technologies of most modern building.

14.   Visit of Palamuse Museum: Study of Estonian education history in new interactive exhibition.
15.   Visit of Jõgeva Seemnekasvatuse Instituut: Study of scientific and research problems in Estonian agriculture.
16.   Visit of Kalevipoja Muuseum: Study of Estonian folk tales and culture
17.   Visit of Endla Nature Conservation Area: Walking tour to Endla bog and Educational Centre.
Workshop on nature conservation issues.
18.   Farewell party: Participants teached and learned dances/songs/traditions of other nations.
