Exploring lives and works of scientists

Students researched about the lives and works of scientists that had an important impact on introducing electricity into people's everyday lives.

Facebook page

 We created a closed Facebook page with photos of all activities during mobilities. 


The group is closed due to legal reasons. Parents of students participating in mobilities were invited to join.

For the purpose of informing parents of our school during mobilities we created a WhatsApp group in which parents were added. This way we could communicate instantly.

C8 Final report

 Final report 

1_Workshop: “Weka” Participants analyzed mobility satisfaction surveys of the mobilities and information tests conducted at the beginning and end of the project using the program called Weka which is a collection of machine learning algorithms for data mining tasks.

2_Workshop: “Google Surveys” Participants visualized the results of the project in order to share on the dissemination tools using Google Survey which gives a quick, cost-effective way to get valuable insights into the minds of project’s target audience.

3_Discussion: Participants created checklist of all the project activities and discussed all activities done during the process are achieved the project goals if not what we can do for that. 

4_Workshop: “Sustainability”, Participants had a training to how we could sustain the project after we finished it using free platforms, Social Media Group, distribute the product (created book, magazines, etc.) to other schools, libraries, etc., and shared the results and products done during the project with civil non-governmental organizations.

5_Workshop: “Writing Results for the National Agency” Participants discussed and wrote the decisions in order to fill the document of National Agencies in a correct way, thus the all National Agencies can understand clearly whether we could reach the objectives of our project or not. If not, explaining the reasons and the causes of the missing points why we had not been able to reach goals in a clear way.

C7 Short-term joint staff training events

 Mobility to Slovenia

We started our mobility with welcoming ceremony on Monday morning at our school. We continued with ice-breaking activities so that students got to know each other a bit better. After that students went on a tour around our school and kindergarten. Then we continued with presentations of plant and animal species of all countries. After lunch we visited Raka castle and showed our guests a glimpse of our history. After that we went to Kostanjevica where students and teachers went SUPing, playing volleyball and sightseeing. On Tuesday we started with ice-braking activities. We continued with presentations of energy potential of our countries. After that we had three CLIL lessons with a common topic - Currents. In Chemistry class students learned about water currents, in Biology class they learned about matter flow in a plant cell and in Physics class they learned about electric current. After lunch students participated in an art workshop where they recreated details from the works of the most important Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik. After that we explored cultural heritage of our village. We visited our church and a traditional Slovenian house. On Wednesday we visited Tehnopark in Celje where students explored light and sound through various experiments. After lunch we visited Rogla ski resort and went for a walk among treetops. On Thursday we explored the lives and works of scientists that had a profound impact on understanding electrical current and making electricity accessible to common use. After that we went on a bus tour to NEK nuclear power plant and were amazed at the level of security there. Then we visited Grad Rajhenburg castle and learned about some dark parts of its history. In the evening we had a cultural event in the hotel. On Friday we went to Postojna cave and admired the beauty of the underground world.
